Whether you are a long-time member or a new one, the Penn State Professional Women’s Network of New York has plenty to offer:
Penn State... we are all part of the Penn State community, most of us are graduates, others are faculty or friends. We’ve learned that our experiences – two, ten, twenty, even thirty or more years ago – give us a shared sensitivity to issues that affect education and careers. One of our goals is to promote women as candidates for Penn State honors.
Professional Women... as a group, we are well established on our career track and we share experiences, job leads, management strategies and hints for balancing the many demands of our diverse and busy lives. At the same time, we welcome new professionals and help them in every way to move ahead in their careers.
Network... it’s a precise definition of what we do. We talk, we laugh, we go to the theater or play golf, we meet for dinner, we learn about new communication or management skills. We discuss business trends, alert each other to job openings, weight career choices, offer opinions and provide references. We become friends. We care about each other. It’s wonderful!
of New York... we have become well-known in this demanding city. Our members include doctors, lawyers, senior executives in publishing, broadcasting, finance, health care, social services, manufacturing, and consulting. Our aim is to expand our reputation and provide increased opportunities for all our members.
